Arpan Bhattacharyya

The author, Mr. Arpan Bhattacharyya comes from a middle-class family living in the heritage Dutch town of Chinsurah which is around an hour drive from the city of Calcutta in the state of West Bengal , India. He had spent most part of his childhood and adolescence in the pre colonial Danish Town of Serampore located in the district of Hooghly , state of West Bengal , India. He has obtained his elementary and higher school education from Protestant missionaries like The Assembly of God Church and Methodist School Missionaries.

Since his childhood, he has been an ardent follower of Tagore , the great Indian poet and American author Mark Twain and later on as he grew up being a Student of English Literature ,he was an admirer of the writings of D.H. Lawrence and James Joyce. The readers shall definitely find marks and references of the above authors in his fictional writings.

Mr. Bhattacharyya is a fellow of English Literature from the Scottish Church College, Calcutta and later on pursued Master’s degree in English from the University of Calcutta.

For the last 18 years, he had been working as a Banker working with multiple MNC banks and is a Banker till date.
